What is coaching and how can it help me?

So you wanna know what exactly coaching is and how it can help you. Great!
Coaching is essentially asking someone questions in order to help them dig deep into the root of their current problem(s) and offering guidance to help someone reach their goals.
To put it another way: consulting is when you answer someone’s questions, and coaching is when you question someone’s answer. I’ve heard this around while talking to one coach I know, and it really helped summarize the general goal of coaching.
As a coach, I aim to provide a 100% safe and supportive space for you to explore your inner thoughts and bring your subconscious thoughts into the conscious, and then out into the open.
I love being a hypewoman, but just to be clear, if I have the honor of coaching you, I will not be a friend who supports you unconditionally. I will be your coach. And there is an important difference.
Like a coach, friends love to support you in whatever you decide to do, but coaches pull back the curtain and question what’s really going on behind the scenes and why you’re making the decisions that you are.
Ever heard of “limiting beliefs”? These are basically the beliefs that you have that are holding you back. Aka, you believe you’re too this or that to do something, or you think you’re undeserving or unworthy of love. A friend would say, “No! What are you talking about?? You’re amazing and deserve everything in this whole world!” A coach would say, “What makes you think you don’t deserve love in your life?” Coaches question the way you think and your negative beliefs about yourself.
Coaches help you “get out of your own head” (I’ve had multiple people I’ve coached say this). They don’t question what you say to attack or offend you. It’s simply a way of challenging your current beliefs about yourself so that you can really step out of your usual space and have someone else read the label outside of the bottle for you.
My coaching style right now as of October 2021 is to provide a safe space for you to talk out loud about your struggles and experiences that are impacting how you feel at that time, whether negative or positive. I will be a source of 100% focused, distraction-free encouragement, but will still ask you questions that lead you to think deeper than you may have before.
