book review: The High 5 Habit
I finished the book!!!
My last post about The High 5 Habit was on Thursday. I finished the book this morning so it took about 5 days! I read it for a couple minutes in the morning and before I went to bed, and a couple times I read it for an hour.
I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this book. If you didn’t already know, I love Mel Robbins. She’s a superstar in the world of personal development and I OH SO WISH that she was my life coach.
The book is so much more than giving yourself high-fives, in case that’s what you thought the book was about. It kind of is in the beginning, but she goes so much deeper and shares her own personal stories of how she got to where she is today and how you can live your best life too.
I love how she gives simple and easy exercises for readers to do to build up to making big changes in their lives. I also love how she backs it up with research and actual studies/concepts. Not too long ago, I thought I only needed to do storytelling to convince people that they can achieve their biggest goals, but I really appreciated the research she shares in the book and why the exercises she recommends actually work.
Her book is available in hardcover, or on Audible.
Mel gets personal with her audience and I love that about her. She tells us the crappy parts of her life and how she messed things up, but also how those events taught her some of her biggest lessons.
If you are into personal development, learning new things, and growing/bettering yourself, definitely check out Mel Robbins’ work and this book!
Happy reading,
Suzanne
