whatever goal you have… you can’t do it alone.

Happy April everyone!

It’s been a little more than a month since my last post and for good reason. I laid off the social media and blogging for a bit to get a refresh on where my mind was. I’m also writing this in a cafe in Denver (Hooked on Colfax) since I was at a 2 day conference here by Mike Kim. Denver is AMAZING by the way - it very much fits the nature lover side of me. It’s absolutely beautiful and the people are so lovely.

Anyways, here is an update of what I’m working on lately.

I want to be a motivational speaker. I want to speak about personal growth to the youth, from 4 year olds to 25 year olds. I want to teach them about resilience, emotional intelligence, and the importance of self-respect/self-love. I have a mission.

During my realization of this dream, though I don’t know for how long, I didn’t realize how important it is to have a team - a support system - cheering you on for whatever goal you decide to pursue in this chapter of your life.

I’ve paid thousands of dollars for different programs about personal growth, business building, and various conferences. The biggest takeaway from this last conference in Denver was the the power of possibility and the power of growing your network - not just for business, but simply to have people around who see you and acknowledge you… and understand the work you’re doing. The good work you’re doing. The powerful work you’re doing.

And so, while I’m in the process of perfecting my keynote speech, I am forming my hype team. The fellows I’ve met in my Maxwell Leadership certification program, the new folks I met at the conference who live thousands of miles away from me, my best friends from college. These are my people and I’m absolutely blessed to have people like them in my life.

I didn’t always have them though. In fact, I barely had any close friends before college, if any. I didn’t have a “best friend” and only focused on my studies. My hype team was my after-school tutor and my one friend who would play video games with me on the weekends.

So, forming a hype team took a while… but it’s so worth it and it’s so important. Almost every event I’ve been to recently has emphasized the power of having a support network and supportive people around you. They not only understand the work you’re doing and why, but also they do their best in helping you get closer to your goals. There is so much you can do alone, but eventually, you need someone else to read the labels outside of the bottle you’re in.

The power of having a team is huge. If you’re working on forming yours, don’t hesitate to reach out to me and ask if I can be on your hype team. I love hyping people up and more importantly, I want to see you WIN. I want to see you reach the top of your mountain and raise your hands up in the air while screaming “I DID IT! WE DID IT.”

I believe in you and your ability to grow your team so you can get closer to your dreams. I’m putting in efforts to acknowledge and check-in with the people I care about the most in my network. I hope you can be one of them too. :)
